Artist's Statement / The PanGarden Philosophy

My father had a saying.  He said "Most people are wrong about Most things Most of the time." It is the ultimate truism.  There is also an old saying: The only things precious are things that are rare.  Life is full of the common.  Real knowledge is rare.  Real talent is rare.  Real truth is rare.  There is no time to  waste on ugliness, no time to waste on lies, on sellers of truth who know nothing of truth, sellers of morality who know nothing of morality.  I am a lover of beauty, of nature, of life.  I believe in kindness to all creatures.  I find any and all forms of animal abuse completely unacceptable.  This includes the cowardly act of hunting as well as the reprehensible practice of raising animals as food.  Any religion that either allows or justifies this shows clearly its "truth", it's "morality."  I am alone, but alone as in rare, and rare as in truth, art and beauty.

One of my claims to fame is being a distant cousin to Joan Crawford. So, I chose the most deranged old
photo I could find.
