I describe my style as neo-aesthetic. From the consciousness of the Victorian Aesthetic movement, I bring to it my own sense of ‘beauty for its own sake’, and attempt to define it in the context of the 21st century. There is often an element of age or decay in my work. This honors the credibility of age. Old things, once beautiful, now worn, still proud, still beautiful in their own way. My art represents a lifetime of observation to determine what is beautiful, what is true, and what is noble. Art is life and life is art and reflected in my art is my reverence for nature, and my compassion for all creatures, for my fellow passengers on this magical mystery tour of life, and this great good will I have towards them enriches my soul and defines me as who I am. Live in beauty. Live in kindness. Live in gratitude. And remember what your mother told you when you were nine..... “It’s only a Movie!”
